Shirley Ann McKinney, 77 of Little Rock, AR, went to be with her sweet Jesus on September 15, 2015.
She was born October 2, 1937 in Carbondale IL to the late Captain Earl L. Jackson and Geneva Jackson.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James E. McKinney of Little Rock; daughters, Sherry Howerton (Dave) and Brenda Ball (David); six precious grandchildren; two darling great-grandsons; her brothers, MSG Master Sgt. Robert E. Jackson (Wanda) and Larry Scott (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; her son, James Gregory McKinney; her sister, Dorothy Lively; and her brother, Roy Scott.
Shirley was an active member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church where anyone she met loved her immediately.
She was very active in AWON (American WWII Orphans Network) and Railsplitters, Company C reunions where she discovered information about her father who was killed in WWII.
Shirley was the receptionist at Met Life for 15 years.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church.
