Shirley Taylor

Shirley Mae Taylor, 85, of Benton, Arkansas passed away October 9, 2021.  She was born December 9, 1935 in Des Arc, Arkansas to the late Gilbert and Eleanor (Moore) Harvey.

Shirley had a beautiful voice and could sing like an angel.  She was a wonderful cook.  Family was so special to Shirley and she loved them with all her heart.  She enjoyed gardening and flowers of all kinds.  Shirley sought for hidden treasures at flea markets and was always searching for bargains.  Shirley loved to dance, with square dancing being her favorite.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents; brothers: Charles, Gilbert, and Warren; and sisters:  Norma and Sue.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters:  Rondi McLamore and husband Randy and Christi Griffin and husband Randy; son, Clifton Taylor, Jr.; grandchildren:  Cory, Sara, Ryan, Marielle, and Kaitlyn; great granddaughter, Aria; sister, Jean; former husband, Clifton Taylor; and many more family members and friends who love Shirley and will miss her always.

Visitation held from 4:00-5:00 PM, Monday, October 18, followed by funeral service at 5:00 PM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Private burial Tuesday, October 19 at Sand Hill Cemetery in Des Arc, Arkansas.
