Shirley Ann Hurst, 79, of Curtis, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. She was born on July 4, 1944, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Mary Willingham and Elmer Hubbard.
Shirley loved cooking big meals for her family, snuggling her puppies, flipping through Southern Living magazines and shopping for antiques. She had a sweet smile and disposition and loved her family dearly.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents: Mary and Elmer and her brothers: Charlie, Pete, Jimmy, Eddie and Wallace Hubbard.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty years, Robert; her sister, Doris Callison of Fort Worth; her son, David Hurst, and his wife Jennifer, of Curtis; her daughter, Robin Hurst, and her husband Jacob, of Curtis; her grandchildren: Jenna McCorkel, and her husband Spencer, of Bryant, Logan Britt, and his wife Morgan, of Fort Smith, Hannah Dykes, and her fiancé River, of Arkadelphia and her great granddaughters: Karis and Heidi McCorkel of Bryant.
The ceremony to celebrate Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon.
