Shirley Hammons

Shirley Lewis Hammons, 75, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, February 09, 2014. She was born July 22, 1938 in Lonoke, Arkansas. Shirley was a homemaker, and great cook, who enjoyed knitting and spending time with her friends in their knitting class.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dennis Hammons of North Little Rock; one granddaughter, Darby Payne of Houston, TX; two brothers, Joe Lewis (Donna) of Hensley, AR and Benny Lewis of North Little Rock; sister, Linda Lewis Evans of Jacksonville; one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Leroy and Freida Lewis; mother, Joyce Thomas and son, Billy Payne, Jr.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Arkansas Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
