Shirley Kay Collier

Shirley Kay Collier, 73, of North Little Rock officially gained her wings on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.  She was born in Little Rock on May 25, 1950 and spent her childhood in California and Washington state before moving back after high school. After obtaining her nursing degree she showed her care and compassion by dedicating her life to Riley’s Oak Hill Manor, Northridge and Arkansas Hospice. She was a true Angel and she absolutely loved her “little people” as she would call them.

            Greeting her in Heaven are her parents, Shelby Edward and Janice Pauline Thompson, along with a brother Charlie Thompson and late husband John Roy Collier. Left here to cherish her memories are her brother, Kenneth and Sharon Thompson; daughter, Kelly and Dan Burch; son, Buddy and Sarah Weatherford; her beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katie, Hannah, Lindsey, Alexis, Jaynna, Trystan and James; four great-grandchildren and one on the way.

            A visitation will be 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2023 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an Alzheimer’s organization in her name.
