Shirley Childress

Shirley Smith Childress, 75, of Ward, Arkansas, was born August 12, 1935 at Little Rock, Arkansas, to Olen Powell and Pearl Lee Estelle (Parsons) Smith, and she died Thursday, November 18, 2010. She was the store manager of B. F. Smith Saddlery in North Little Rock for most of her adult life. Shirley was a member of the North Little Rock Church of Christ and loved to work in her garden, and was a charter member of the ABRA.
She is survived by her husband, Andy Childress; children, Clay Worlow and wife Margie of North Little Rock, Cline Worlow and wife Sheila of Weleetka, Oklahoma, Chris Worlow and wife Summer of Carlisle; Lana Swartzmiller and husband Allan of Youngstown, New York, Brian Childress of North Little Rock, and Ann Patterson of Austin; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2010, at Westbrook Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. at Cameron Cemetery, Salem Community, Saline County.
