Shirley Ann Campbell peacefully left this earth for her heavenly home on Tuesday morning the 8th of February 2022. She leaves her loving husband of over 39 years, Wayne Kelley Campbell. And her dearly loved extended family: Larry Campbell and his wife Debbie and their son, Jason Campbell and wife Gija and their sons: Dexter and Kristopher Campbell.
Gerald Campbell and his wife Julie and their children: Jacob, Daniel, Natalie and her husband Turner Brock.
Belinda Campbell Gentry and husband Perry; their daughter, Lindsey and husband Elliott Andrews; and their sons: Henry, Hudson and Haydon Andrews; daughter Lauren and her significant other, Justin Bromley, and her daughter Kaye Lottner. And many special friends and loved ones throughout her life.
Shirley was born to Adron Cupit and Minnie (Shirley) Cupit on July 15, 1939. She has a sister, Judy (Cupit) Weaver. She attended Sylvan Hills Elementary, Jr. High School and graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1957.
Shirley accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior during a revival at Jacksonville Church of the Nazarene at the age of twelve. She taught the Jr. Girls Sunday School class several years at Grace Church of the Nazarene. She began attending First Church of the Nazarene in NLR where she met her future husband, Wayne Kelley Campbell. They married in 1982 and Shirley was a visitor greeter at the church for a number of years. She was employed at Arkansas Internal Medicine Clinic and retired after 16 years. She had so many good friends—her coworkers there.
Shirley and Wayne traveled to many different countries together and made many new friends in their travels. Shirley loved all the children, grandchildren--then great-grandchildren came along.
She would bake her wonderful Banana Nut Bread for family—it was so good! The recipe she gave to others for it was lovingly renamed “Nana Nut Bread” by someone in the family. It is still called that today.
Shirley is greatly loved and will be missed and will be remembered.
