Shirley Andrews

Shirley J. Andrews, 72, of Benton, Arkansas passed away April 24, 2017. She was born July 18, 1944 in Little Rock to the late Forrest Eugene Lowry, II and Mary E. Wright Lowry. Shirley was a member of Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and piano player. She always loved to give to others. She volunteered at Good Shepherd Nursing Home and ministered to the residents by playing the piano, teaching Bible lessons, and serving on the Birthday committee. Shirley was a simple lady who loved her TV shows, Pall Mall 100's, and super hot coffee. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Forrest Eugene Lowry, II. Shirley leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Kimberly Blanford and husband Ross of Katy, Texas; two granddaughters, Kayla Reeves and husband Noah of Benton and Victoria Blanford of New York, New York; two grandsons, Chris Blanford and Aaron Blanford of Katy, Texas; sisters, Ann Harrison and husband Charles of Little Rock and Darlene Thomas and husband Tony of Little Rock; brother, Forrest Lowry, III and wife Linda of Spring, Texas; 17 nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who loved Shirley and will miss her always. Reception visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton. Funeral service, officiated by Forrest Lowry, III, will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 28 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Landmark Cemetery with Charles Harrison, Nick Barger, Alan Curtis, Chris Blanford, Aaron Blanford, and Noah Reeves assisting as pallbearers.
