Sherwin O. Williams Sr. age 78 of Arkadelphia died Friday, November 14, 2008 in Arkadelphia. He was born June 5, 1930 in Emerson, Arkansas the son of D. N. and Annie Mae Bigelow Williams. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Sherwin was a Certified Public Accountant and founded the Sherwin O. Williams Accounting Firm, which became known as the Taylor, Rodgers and Turner Accounting Firm.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Wanda Qualls Williams; one son, Sherwin O. Williams Jr. of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Kristi Perser of Mountian Home, AR; one grandson; one granddaughter; one brother, Dewey Williams of Bossier City, LA; two sisters, Idelle Simms of Shongaloo, LA. and Peggy Maloch of Emerson, AR.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Ouachita Baptist University or to Arkadelphia First Baptist Church.
