Sheri Monroe
Sheri Lea Monroe, 43, of Little Rock, passed away January 9, 2014. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also a Taekwondo Mom (TKD) and a breeder of Bassett Hounds.
She is survived by her husband, Galen M. Monroe and daughter, Genny Esperanza Abella-Gillman, both of Little Rock; her parents, Leroy and Charlene Gillman of Earlham, Iowa; brother, Todd Gillman (Barbara) of Knoxville, Tennessee; nieces, Bethany Gillman and Alex Gillman; nephews, Jason Gillman and George Gillman; in-laws, Berwin and Winnie Monroe; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 12 from 3-5 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Monday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Ivy Chapel, officiated by Rev. Brenda Vaught, followed by interment at Ivy Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 2nd St., Little Rock, AR 72201.
