Shelvia Golden, age 74, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Kirby, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was born on April 18, 1944 in Kirby, the daughter of Lester Tolleson and Hazel Motley Tolleson. On June 12, 1965, she was married to Earl Love who preceded her in death on March 12, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Love; and her parents. On May 30, 1993, she was married to Travis Golden. Shelvia was a graduate of Kirby High School and Draughns School of Business. She was a former bookkeeper for the Pike County Memorial Hospital and a member of the Church of Christ. She was also active in the Hillcrest Red Hats. For the past several years, Shelvia and Travis had an entertainment act known as the Goldentones which featured music and comedy. Shelvia would not only sing but she would play the straight man to Travis comedic characters. It was something they both thoroughly enjoyed doing. She is survived by her husband, Travis Golden of Zephyrhills; her son Michael Love of Sherwood, Arkansas; and her brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Judy Tolleson of Paragould, Arkansas. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bill Golden officiating. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
