Shelby Scruggs

Shelby Lee Scruggs, 65, of Hensley, Arkansas passed away July 26, 2021.  She was born December 9, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Obbie Wood and the late  Ollie (Pifer) Wood.

Shelby worked as a CNA for over fifteen years and was dedicated in her care of others.  She was very spunky and head strong.  Shelby cherished spending time with her family.  She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally.  She dedicated her life to take care of Joshua and ensure he would have a good life.  Her family gives her all the credit for putting others before herself and for her desire to make sure her family had everything they needed.  In the rare moments she had spare time, Shelby would crochet beautiful afghans for her family.

Preceding Shelby in death are her husband, James Scruggs; and her mother, Ollie Wood.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children:  Deana, Rebecca and husband Nick, Bubba Osborne and wife Amy, Elizabeth Scruggs, Joshua Scruggs; six grandchildren; father, Obbie Wood; two sisters; three brothers; and many family members and friends who love Shelby and will miss her always.

Family will hold burial at Ivy Chapel Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 7.
