Shelby Randolph Jones, 63, of Mayflower passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008. He had 32 years of military service in the Army National Guard, and was a member of the Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge #749. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and since retirement he enjoyed traveling to South Texas where he spent his winter months.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Jones, of Mayflower; daughter, Kimberly Curtis, of Jacksonville; son, Douglas Todd Murray and wife Rachel, of Sheridan; four grandchildren, Chase Curtis, Megan Jones, Amber Jones, all of Jacksonville and Samantha Davis, of Sheridan; two great-grandchildren, Austin Clendenin and Jeremy Jackson, of Jacksonville; and his brother, Eugene N. Jones, of North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Jones.
He will be greatly missed by his church, military and valley friends, and especially missed by J. his wife and best friend.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
