Sheila “Diane” Sheets, age 71, of Point Cedar, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
She was born on July 16, 1951, in Amity, the daughter Milton Jack Davis and Dorothy Lee Kizer Davis. She was preceded in death by parents; her son, Darrnell Dwayne Bailey; her granddaughter, Torie Garrett; her three brothers, Jackie Davis, Terry Davis and Roy Davis; and her sister, Beverly Cox.
Diane married the love of her life, Shelby, on November 14, 1991. She was Assembly of God in her faith. Diane worked for many years at both the Mount Ida Footwear and the Lake Catherine Footwear. She enjoyed being outdoors, where you could find her sitting on her porch watching her hummingbirds and deer, mowing her yard, and riding her four-wheeler, which were all some of her most favorite things to do. But above all, Diane loved her family, most especially her grandchildren, whom she adored and took great joy in spoiling them every chance she had.
She is survived her loving husband of thirty years, Shelby Sheets of Point Cedar; her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Amy Bailey of Athens; her three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa Horn of Point Cedar, Wendy and Chris Hand of Pearcy and Kay and Chad Stewart of Amity; her grandchildren, Dakota Bailey and his fiancé, Kacie Anderson, Luke and Jordan Stewart, Bo Stewart, Kristen Garrett; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Lucas, Preslee, Kase, Kash and Cole; her two brothers, Steve Davis and his wife, Marcie, of Point Cedar and Larry Davis of Amity; her four sisters, Betty Stanley of Fouke, Velda Holt of Hot Springs, Violet Skinner and her husband, Ed, of Amity and Becky Avery and her husband, Mike, of Delight; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood.
