Sheila Rae Currie, age 63, of Pike City, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

She was born on September 15, 1959, in Sidney, New York, the daughter of Roy and Jeanette Goodrich Currie. She was preceded in death by her father; her sister, Faith Killmeier; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Wilkins; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Mabery.

Sheila grew up in Wells Ridge, New York. She graduated from Unatego Junior-Senior High School, Otego, NY in 1977, and was a part of the class of 1979, at State University of New York at Farmingdale, New York. Sheila loved knitting, listening to country music, baking, reading, and playing computer games. Sheila will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her significant other who loved and took great care of her, John Dell Mabery; her mother, Jeanette Currie; her two sisters and their husbands, Tammy and Tom Lindsay, and Jacqueline and Rick Geertgens; her “adoptive family in love”, her children, Angel and Scotty Rowton and Stacy Mabery; her grandchildren, Nicole and Kyle Petty, JD and Hailie Rowton, Tasha and James Sigman, Devin Mabery, and Megan Rowton; her great-grandchildren, James and Morgan Petty, Blakelie and Wyla Rowton, John Luke and Amillia Mabery, and Alec and Alissa Sigman; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steven Killmeier, Faye Wilkins, and BJ and Tracy Mabery; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

There will be a family conducted graveside memorial service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the Pike City Cemetery with Bro. Scotty Rowton and Angel Rowton officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood.
