Shawn VanCamp

Shawn Marcus Van Camp, 40, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, September 22, 2014, from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. He was an employee of the Arkansas Secretary of State's office.

He is survived by a son, Ethan; his father, Marcus Van Camp and stepmother, Patti of Jasper; his mother, Diana Wilson Gray and stepfather, Mike of Springdale; a brother, Scott Van Camp and wife, Sarah of Fayetteville; his fiancée, Martha Nicholas; stepsisters Sara Hall and Rachel Gray; stepbrother Michael John Gray; uncles and aunts, Mike and Mary Wilson, Joe and Jan Van Camp, Nelson and Theresa Driver, and Mike Van Camp; a great-aunt, Margie Jensen; and a special childhood friend, Beth Housh Ogden.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jim and Betty Wilson of Austin, and Lawrence F. and Alice Van Camp.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014, at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made in Shawn's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Arkansas Chapter, 11324 Arcade Dr., Ste. 16, Little Rock, AR 72212.
