Sharon Gail Fant Peterson, 60, of Maumelle, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. She was born July 15, 1950 in Helena, Arkansas and grew up in Marianna, Arkansas.
Preceded in death by her father, Jasper Blair (J.B.) Fant, Sr. and sister, Carole Yvonne Fant Peterson, she is survived by her sons, Michael Kevin Peterson and wife, Lisa, Paul Warren Peterson and Aaron Blair Peterson; and seven grandchildren, Amber Desha Peterson, Katelyn Dawn Peterson, Zachary Dale Peterson, Ryan Fant Peterson, Jarrett Taylor Peterson, Logan Blair Peterson and Shannon Michelle Peterson, all of Arkansas. Also surviving are her mother, Helen McElduff Fant and sister, Lynn Fant Johnson and husband, John Marshall Johnson III, all of Burleson; brother, Jasper Blair Fant, Jr. and wife, Carol Ann of Palmer, Alaska, all formerly of Marianna; brother-in-law, Edwin Dale Peterson of Las Vegas, Nevada; and one niece, three nephews, two grand-nieces and three grand-nephews.
After cremation, her ashes will be taken to Florida and spread in the Gulf of Mexico.
