Sharon Annette May

Sharon Annette May, born on May 25, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. Sharon was a spirited individual whose vibrant personality lit up the lives of everyone she met. Known for being a "spitfire," she embodied the saying that "dynamite comes in small packages." Her zest for life was evident in all her pursuits, whether it was her retail career as a store associate or the compassionate care she provided as a caregiver.

Sharon's passions extended beyond her professional endeavors. She cherished the time spent with her family, particularly her beloved granddaughters, with whom she shared a unique and enduring bond. She was a true family woman, and she took great pride in taking care of her boys, as well as being a devoted and doting grandmother. A proud pet owner, her fur baby, Baby Doll, held a special place in her heart as well, reflecting her nurturing nature that extended beyond her family. Wherever Sharon went, Baby Doll was always by her side.

She was also a creative spirit who enjoyed fishing, crafts, and puzzles. Her quiet moments were often spent indulging in her love for Solitaire and Candy Crush. The kitchen was another of her favorite places, where she delighted in cooking for and nurturing her family. An avid collector, Sharon had a fondness for Coca-Cola memorabilia, which reflected her whimsical side, as well as collecting meaningful moments and memories throughout her life.

Sharon is survived by her three sons: Chauncey (Amanda) Thompson, Chad (Kristin) Thompson, and Jeremy Thompson; her grandchildren: Lilianne Hayes, Makayla Wilmoth, and Jagger Thompson; her great-granddaughter: Nova Hayes; her siblings: Tonia (Jerry) Raper and Debbie (Lynn) Hooker; as well as her nieces and nephews: Brandy Jo Raper, Jake Raper, Sidney Hooker, Marie Sharp, and Jayme Burkett.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Teague and Betty Farnam, along with her brother Jimmy Teague, who were awaiting her in heaven with open arms.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on January 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at New Beginnings Apostolic Church located at 407 Prickett Rd., Bryant, Arkansas, 72022.
