Sharon M. Mascaro, R.N. went to be the Lord on December 20, 2020 at the Little Rock Veterans Hospital surround by her family. She was born April 1, 1945 to the late Albert and Rita Hogan in Methuen, Massachusetts. She graduated from St. Theresa Academy, Providence, and then from the Rhode Island Hospital of Nursing. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War, obtaining the rank of captain. Sharon served as a nurse for 40 years at Rhode Island Hospital and the Veterans Hospital in Rhode Island.
She fought strokes and diabetes for fourteen years. The Mascaro family would like to thank all medical staff and caregivers for their excellent care.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Mascaro; two sons, Joseph Mascaro, III (Kem) of Smithfield, RI and Matthew Mascaro of Rio Rancho, NM; one grandson, Anthony Mascaro also of NM; bonus granddaughters: Electra Christopher and Charisma Christopher of Jacksonville, AR; sisters, Claire Texaria of Milton, FL; Maureen Kianiona of Pawtucket, RI; nephew, Christopher Texaria (Nicolle) of Baltimore, MD; and several extended family members who loved Sharon and will deeply miss her.
Interment with full military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI at 10:00 AM. Saturday, January 2, 2020. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
