Sharon Joyce Henthorn

Sharon Joyce Henthorn, age 72, of Amity, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012. She was born on February 3, 1940, at Amity, the daughter of Winford Willie Fendley and Nora Lee Burmaster Fendley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Henthorn; her parents; and her sister, Geraldine Skates. She was a member of the Amity First Baptist Church. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Greg and Kay Henthorn and Dewayne Henthorn, all of Amity; two daughters and one son-in-law, Shanee and Danny Pittman and Nora Wilson, all of Amity; six grandchildren, Royce Henthorn, David Pittman, Dylan Pittman, Andrew Samuel, Daniel Henthorn and Alex Samuel; two great-grandsons; and one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Erman Mauldin of Amity. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 30, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. John McAnally and Bro. Glen Harris officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
