Sharon Hill, age 63, of Hot Springs, passed away, Monday, November 2, 2020.
She was born on September 23, 1957, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Clarence Minton and Imogene Dalton Minton. On January 20, 1995 she married Darrell Hill. She is preceded in death by her father.
Sharon was Christian in her faith and loved life. After twenty-eight years of service she retired from the United States Postal Service, she will always be remembered for her smile for the people she helped at the post office. Sharon had one main hobby, she loved doing genealogy, she also loved traveling with Darrell although many of the trips that she and Darrell went on were centered and planned around her genealogy research. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Melting Pot Genealogy Society of Hot Springs and the Garland County Historical Society. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Darrell Hill of Hot Springs; her mother, Imogene Minton of Hot Springs; her children, Steven and Laura Hill of Dallas, Texas, Melissa Hill of Mineola, Texas; grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Mathew, Daniel, Stephanie, and Angela; several great-grandchildren; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim Hill of Glenwood, Marilyn Hill and Tillman Shirley of Amity, Linda and Leo Green of Glenwood and Rosa Roach of Hot Springs; extended family members, especially her cousins and many good friends.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Oak Grove Cemetery, at Sunshine, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday evening, October 6, 2020, at the funeral home. Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons at any one time in the funeral home chapel, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times when inside the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Brewer, Joshua Brewer, Brandon Cogburn, Gary Green, Jerry Green and Randy Green.
