Sharon "Nonnie" French

Sharon “Nonnie” French, age 68, of Midway, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

She was born on January 17, 1955, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of William Kenneth Myrick and Marilyn Joy Coopwood Myrick.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda French Crawford; her parents; her sister, Sandra Myrick Moore; her son-in-law, Brian Cunningham; and her brother-in-law, Rick March.

On January 25, 1974, Sharon was married to the true love of her life, Estol French.  She was a member of the Midway Missionary Baptist Church in Donaldson.  Sharon always enjoyed singing, was gifted with one of the most beautiful alto voices and had the talent to harmonize with anyone she sang with.  Above all, Sharon had a compassionate heart for children and for many years was a well-loved preschool teacher, who had a way of bonding with children of any age.  For many children who came into her life she was a safe haven, especially for those children who some may think of as broken, but she would know their needs and how to reach out to guide and love them.

Nonnie, as she was lovingly known by many, was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She passionately loved each and every member of her family with all her heart, especially her grandchildren, who she cherished spending time with.  Our precious Nonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Estol ‘Jr.” French of Midway; her children and their spouses, Jennifer and Junior Anschutz of Midway, Justin and Lizzy French of Little Rock and Shane Crawford of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; her nine grandchildren, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Riley, and Caleb Cunningham; Mayson, Ryleigh, and Karli Anschutz; and Alice and Duckett French; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Lauren Myrick and David and Sharla Myrick all of Texas; her sister, Cindy March of Texas; her brother-in-law, James Moore of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
