Sharon Holt Carter

Sharon Holt Carter of Little Rock Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 surrounded by her family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, W. S “Buddy” Holt Jr. and Mary Ann Holt of El Dorado Arkansas and nephew, Sean Michael Holt of Alexandria Louisiana.

Sharon attended Arkansas State University studying fine art.   After college she began a long and successful career in the interior design and jewelry business in both North Little Rock and Little Rock.  

As certified jeweler each custom piece she designed was a piece of art.  Sharon’s customers became her friends, and she cherished each and every one of them.  To Sharon it was more than just a business, she made each customer feel special and made sure their designs were as unique and special as they were.

Sharon was an accomplished painter and an extraordinary hostess.   She loved to entertain and opened her lovely home to everyone.  Known for her exquisite table settings and creating delicious meals made with love everyone felt welcome at her table.

Sharon was involved in the local art community, and a former member of the North Little Rock Junior league .

Sharon had a way of making everyone feel special. She had so much love and she loved big!  She was always there for her friends, with food, a shoulder to cry on, last minute gift ideas, with those exquisite bows and fabulous wrapping paper.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 24 years, Paul Carter of Little Rock; brother, Michael Alan Holt (Denise) of Alexandria Louisiana; and nephew, Spencer P. Holt (Kory) of Bella Vista Arkansas.

Sharon also leaves behind her very special lifelong friends Jane Bowers,  Laura McNutt, Timothy Guffey, and Sue Owens all of Little Rock.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Little Rock, AR followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. There will be a private interment in El Dorado, AR.
