Sharon Bailey

Sharon Ross (Paxon) Bailey, 74, of Bryant, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior April 22, 2020. She was born June 14, 1945 in Lubbock, Texas to the late James Edward and Emma Ross (Garrett) Paxon.
Sharon was a very Godly woman who was always ready to share her faith. She was the past department head of the Medical Records Division for Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sharon was proud of her family and her husband, John Bailey, who served as the Director of the Arkansas State Police and Chief of the Arkansas Highway Police. When meeting someone new, Sharon shared two things: her love of her family and her faith in God. Sharon taught Sunday School and impacted hundreds of lives and was the past president of Benton Women's Aglow Bible Study group in the 80's. She was a prayer warrior and was a blessing to all who knew her.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of almost fifty years, John Renvil Bailey of Bryant, Arkansas; son, Matthew Renvil Bailey and wife Brooke N. Brown of Washington, D.C.; two daughters: Anna Marie (Bailey) Bowman and husband Brad of Mabelvale, Arkansas and Sarah Beth (Bailey) Voth and husband Jared of Benton, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren: Christina, Corley, Paxon, Cash, Evie, Charis, Lucie, Cedar, Josiah, Elliot, and Everly; brother, James Edward Paxon, III and wife Debbie of Truth or Consequence, New Mexico; nephew, James Edward Paxon, IV and wife Melissa of Zavalla, Texas; and many family members and friends who love Sharon and will miss her always.
Open visitation will be held Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.
