Sharion Lee Helms

Sharion Lee Helms, age 82, of Royal, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023.

She was born on June 29, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of General Nelson Crittenden and Verna Agnes Rowton.  She was preceded in death by her; husband Jerry E. Helms; her parents; and one sister Betty Tucker.

Sharion was a very talented artist that loved to decorate, garden, and all around make the space around her beautiful. She was also a very skilled seamstress and loved to create clothes, gowns, and crafts.

She is survived by; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Todd and Tawaynia Helms and Timothy Lee and Janice Helms; three grandchildren, Zachary William Helms, Nicholas Drew Helms and Christina Marie Helms; three step-grandchildren, Rebekah Cherise Blackwood, Stephanie Suzanne Lowery and Joseph Aaron Lowery; five step-great-grandchildren; three sisters and their spouses, Linda and Justin Dupre, Kathy and Rodney Ferguson, and Barbara Lowder; as well as her favorite cousin Karen Collier; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Pallbearers are; Derek Dupre, James Little, Kyle Ferguson, Jeremy Ferguson, Ty Dupre, and Lane Dupre.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Dupre, Rodney Ferguson, Milton Yeaman, Snapper Fikes and in memory Freddie Fikes.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, with Bishop Dennis Anderson and Reverend Will Colberson officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in Peak Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service.
