Shannon Hamilton

Shannon Bohart Elliott Hamilton, 78, of North Little Rock died on May 28, 2021. She was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late James “Jim” McGill Bohart and Ora Watson Bohart. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, Robert Michael “Mike” Elliott. Shannon was a graduate of UCA and UA. She worked 37 years as a teacher and counselor in public schools. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. Shannon loved escorting students and adults on tours in the United States and Europe. Every city she visited was her favorite.

Shannon is survived by her loving son, James “Jim” Bohart Elliott (Jennifer); a grandson, Oliver Barlogie; sister, Pamela Bohart Bentley (Lowell); and many special bridge club members, Bunco club members, fellow travelers and Delta Zeta Sorority sisters from her ASTC years.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in the sanctuary at Lakewood United Methodist Church, North Little Rock, followed by interment in the church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation .
