Scotty Davis May

Scotty Davis May, age 92, of Conway, Arkansas, died March 12, 2025. He was born March 28, 1932, to parents Lester Hoyle May and Winnie Bush May in Booneville, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Val Joan May; parents; two brothers, W.L. May and Jack Bush May; and three sisters, Minnie Adele Powell, Betty Jo Sudduth, and Winnie Bush Linzel.

Scotty is survived by his son, Scott May and wife Connie; daughter, Susie Morrison and husband Ken; grandson, Ben May and wife Taylor, and 3 great granddaughters, Stella, Lucy, and Scottie.

He was proud to have served in the US Navy aboard the USS Fiske and various locations. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Scotty was a kind and gentle man that loved his family dearly. He was a hard working man with great values and taught valuable life lessons.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Naylor who cared for our family for many years and also all the doctors and amazing staff at Conway Regional and Superior Health Care where he spent his remaining days.

We could not thank our great friend, and pastor, John Burleson enough. John has guided us through some difficult times and also some of the best times of our life.

Graveside services will be private.
