Saralou Elizabeth Raymond Gifford, age 90, of Little Rock died December 3rd, 2014. She was a retired Professor of English from Philander Smith College and is the sibling of the late Lois Jean, Evelyn, Ira, Bill, Gordon, and Bob Raymond.
Ms. Gifford is survived by one sister, Patricia Raymond Johnson, of Center Harbor, New Hampshire, one daughter, three sons, two grandsons, and a special friend, Beth Dobbins.
A "Remembering of Saralou R. Gifford", will be celebrated by her son, David Edwin Gifford, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4th at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church located on the Northeast corner of the Philander Smith College campus (1109 S. State St.). Mrs. Gifford taught English there for nearly 40 years. Requested attire is casual.
