Sarah “Sadie” Revels Yates Cogburn, age 73, of Glenwood, passed away on November 13, 2023.
She was born on January 23, 1950, in DeQueen, the daughter of Thomas Edwin Revels and Ellen Dowdle Revels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Phil Yates; her brother, Jerry Revels; her sister, Judy Ford; and her great-grandson, Charlie Wallace.
Sadie married “her cowboy,” Bobby Cogburn, on October 30, 2023. She was a member of Glenwood First Baptist Church. Sadie absolutely loved being outside whether that be working in her garden, feeding her hummingbirds, watching birds, or doing her projects. Sadie loved dancing and “cutting a rug.” She always had an amazing time with her family and kept them laughing. Sadie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Cogburn of Glenwood; her three children and their spouses, Leslie and Keith Sirmon of Kirby, Greg and Joey Currence of Lodi, and Ashley and Kyle Huckaby of Bossier City, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Caitlin and Sam Whisenhunt, Keilie Sirmon, Gracie Currence, Chloe Currence, Emma Lee Vick, Zoey Duggan, Drake Huckaby, and Eli Huckaby; her one great-grandson on the way, Judson Miller Wallace; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Terri Revels of Locksburg; her sister, Brenda Brackett of Locksburg; her sister-in-law Sandra Revels of Glenwood; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the Glenwood First Baptist Church with Bro. Erby Burgess officiating.
Visitation will be held 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Thursday, in the Glenwood First Baptist Church, prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Center Point Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
