Sarah Ellis Roberts age 69, of Caddo Valley passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Hot Springs. She was born April 10, 1945 in Little Rock to Tom Steele and Margaret Jordan Ellis. Sarah was a bookkeeper with Legends Sports Photography and was a former Recorder/Treasurer for the City of Caddo Valley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Blake Barksdale.
Survivors are her children, Cathy Barksdale Hill of Caddo Valley, Johnny Barksdale of Amity, Mickey (Kinley) Barksdale of Bryant and Tessa Barksdale of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Bryan Lyons and Brea Lyons both of Amity, Jordan Barksdale and Jackson Barksdale both of Bryant, Ben Barksdale and Brooke Barksdale both of Amity; one great-grandson Landon Ackley; three sisters, Rita Kinard McGuire of McNeil, Arkansas, Carol Thomas of West Memphis, Arkansas and Eloise Ellis of Austin, Texas.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 9th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Pastor Paul Kroger officiating. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery at Amity. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice Inpatient Unit /St. Vincent Hospital Hot Springs or to a favorite humane society.
