Sarah Gray

Sarah Carolyn Gray, 76, went to be with our lord on May 17, 2016, when she peacefully died in her sleep after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Sarah was born on November 6, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas as the only child of Charles and Opal Burns. She married Kelly "Ted" Gray on October 19, 1955. After moving to California, Sarah and Ted returned to central Arkansas and raised their three children.

Sarah worked for Arkansas Air for over 15 years. She was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and traveling in her spare time.

Throughout the course of her illness, Mrs. Gray was provided care by her loving family members, James and Brenda Burns, Gentiva Hospice and Lakewood Nursing Home. Words cannot adequately express the amount of gratitude that the family feels for the love, sacrifice and wonderful care provided to her over the many months she battled her disease.

Sarah is survived by her children, Charles "Chuck" Gray (Jeanne), Jeffrey Gray (Erma), and Kelly Warner; her grandchildren, Michael Gray (Carrie), Lindsey Gray Hodge (Barkley), Dustin Warner (Kristin), and Jacqueline Warner; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Gray, Ashlyn Warner, Ethan Hodge, Lawson Gray, Connor Hodge, and Canon Warner; along with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, Kelly "Ted" Gray and her parents, Charles Burns and Opal Burns Patterson;

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 7700 Highway 107 in Sherwood, Arkansas. Internment will follow the service at Hope Cemetery near Perryville.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
