Sarah Bridges

Sarah Bridges, 94, of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with the Lord August 28, 2018. She was born to the late William and Addie Griffith on March 23, 1924 in Cordova, Tennessee.

She married George Homer Bridges on December 14, 1946. They enjoyed many years of musical get togethers in their fifty-four years of marriage. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and granny.

Sarah loved to travel, visiting family and friends. The times Sarah cherished the most included listening to George play music and her girls sing.

She enjoyed needlework, cooking traditional "Southern foods", and puzzle books. Sarah was a member of Chapel Lane Baptist Church until she moved to Cabot in 2013.

She is preceded in death by her husband; brothers Gene Griffith, Bead Griffith, Bill Griffith; sister Stella Ramsey; and son-in-law Tommy Mattingly.

Sarah is survived by her children, Gail Woodward (Jerry), Larry Bridges (Pam), Lindell C. Bridges (Laurel Alexander), Donna Mattingly (late Tommy Mattingly); grandchildren Tami Thomas, Tina Hall, Alan Woodward, Steven Bridges, Kevin Bridges, Aron Bridges, April Magill, Jason Mattingly, Justin Mattingly, Sarah Wendel, and their spouses; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister-in-law Gerry Bridges; and special friends Hazel Nance and Kathleen Green.
