Sandy Hicks

Sandy Shea Hicks of Austin, Arkansas, born March 14, 1951, went home to her Savior Jesus Christ on May 24, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Dee and Bonita "Roo-Roo" Durnal. She leaves behind her husband of forty-two years, Randy Hicks; daughter, Tanya Shea Hicks; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Jaime Hicks and grandchildren Matthew and Allison, and son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Rebekah Hicks and grandson Cody. Also surviving are her brother, Lloyd Lynn Durnal and wife Susan of Little Rock and sister Mary Ann Carlock and husband Randy of Henderson, Texas, as well as a host of extended family, friends and co-workers.
Sandy was the Executive Broker for McKimmey and Associates Realtors in Cabot, Arkansas. She has served the real estate needs of Cabot for over twenty years. She was looked up to by many in the real estate community. She loved her family and friends dearly. She wore many hats throughout the short time God loaned her to us, but enjoyed being called "Memaw" more than any of them.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Country Chapel, Hwy. 321, Sylvania, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery, 160 McCollum Rd., Austin, AR 72007.
