Sandra Kay Whitaker Davis, of Little Rock, passed away June 4, 2015. She was born in Warren, Arkansas to Paul and Katherine Whitaker. A graduate of Warren High, she was voted Miss Congeniality in the Miss Arkansas pageant, later serving as page for Governor Rockefeller. Committed to education, she graduated from the University of Arkansas Monticello with a B.A. She then completed her Master's in Education at Arkansas State Teachers University. She moved to Quincy, Illinois to start her family, moving back to Little Rock 17 years later. After over 20 years in education, she retired from UALR College of Engineering.

Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Paula Whitaker Morgan, she is survived by her husband, Richard B. Davis, Sr.; sons, Richard Bryan Davis, Jr. (Cindy) and Devin Michael Davis (Kerry), and daughter, Ashley Davis Meggers (Marshall), all of Little Rock; her twin sister, Donna Whitaker Cairnes of Coral Springs, Florida; and grandchildren, Audrey Katherine Davis, Madison Gail Davis, Andrew Michael Davis, Ava Grace Davis, Adam Whitaker Davis, Owen Davis Meggers and Madeline Arrington Meggers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Thursday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Siegfried Johnson.
