Sandra Ballard, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 24, 2023, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Born on February 4, 1939, in Hazard, Kentucky, She is preceded in death by her caring husband, Jesse Ballard; three sons, Ronnie Ballard, James "Scott" Ballard, and John Calvin Ballard; and a sister, Shirley Dehaven.
Sandra lived a life dedicated to caring for others and finding joy in simple pleasures. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and love for her family.
Sandra's career as a nurse brought her immense fulfillment as she embraced the role of taking care of people. Sandra's dedication and nurturing nature made a positive impact on the lives of many patients throughout her years in nursing. Her commitment to helping others and providing comfort to those in need left a mark on the hearts of those she cared for.
Education played an essential role in Sandra's life. She earned an Associate's degree in Nursing and used her knowledge and expertise to enhance the care she provided to her patients. Sandra's thirst for knowledge was evident not only in her career but also in her personal life.
Outside of work, Sandra indulged in various hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She had a love for making trips to the horse races, had an eye for hidden treasures, and thoroughly enjoyed scouring yard sales in search of new romance books. Music also held a special place in Sandra's heart, she found solace and inspiration from the melodies that comforted and inspired her. Particularly Old Rock and Country.
Sandra's legacy lives on through her surviving family members: her son, Greg Ballard; her grandchildren, Chris Ballard and Sandra C. Ballard (Eric); eight great-grandchildren, and her significate other, Richard Newton. Sandra's heart overflowed with love for her family, including her nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of dear friends.
Sandra Ballard touched the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kind-hearted nature, unwavering dedication, and love for others will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
