Samuel Roe
Samuel Earl Roe, age 81, of Hughes, Arkansas was born in Ward, Arkansas to Oscar and Susie Aline (Milam) Roe on April 13, 1935 and he died May 16, 2016.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hughes and retired from the Wonder Bread Company.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Hughes; son, Michael R. Roe and wife Gwen of Weiner, Arkansas; daughter, Susan LaGuire of Morehead, Kentucky; step daughter, Ruthie Sexton of West Memphis, Arkansas and Aleitha Gray of Knoxville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one brother, Gary Roe of Imperial, California.
Family requests memorials be made in his name to a charity of choice.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, Arkansas with burial in Monk Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
