Samuel Berg

Samuel Leon "Sam" Berg, 85, of North Little Rock passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010. Mr. Berg served in the United States Navy in World War II. He had worked at BEI Precision Systems and Space Division, presently located in Maumelle, Arkansas for 50 years. He was hired at BEI upon his graduation from the University of Arkansas with a BSEE degree in 1959. He was a charter member of St. Anne's and Immaculate Conception Catholic Parishes in North Little Rock.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pauline Berg, wife, Mary Ethel Ball Berg, and brother George E. Berg. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Frances Berg of Little Rock, a daughter, Deborah J. King (Butch) of Sherwood and a son, Michael Dixon Berg (Larita) of Sherwood, and a stepson, Bill Lyons (Marilyn) of Searcy. Sam and Mary were blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Vigil Service will be held at 6:00PM, Monday, November 8, 2010 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock (758-1170). Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Remount Road, North Little Rock. Father Tom Stehlik officiating. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock. Words alone cannot express our gratitude for Mary Coffey, Ann Wright, and Jacoby Knight for their love, dedication, and affection shown for Mr. Sam.
Memorials may be sent to St. Anne's Catholic Church in care of Mr. Sam Berg.
