Sammye Hogue Woolverton Foley, 86, of North Little Rock, was born March 10, 1923 and died February 12, 2010. She was a member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church in Morgan, and formerly a member of First Presbyterian Church in Downtown North Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alice Hogue of Austin, Arkansas; two sisters, Willie Veteto and Betty Adams; and her husband, Francis Foley.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Crook (Nathan) of Greenbrier, Harolyn Hanna (Chuck) of Hot Springs, and Pamela Harrell (Benny) of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Michele Taylor Wix of Guy, Curt Crook of Conway, Angie Huitt-Porter of North Carolina, and Kimberly Huitt of North Little Rock; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael and Jacob Taylor, Joshua and Mackenzie Crook, Jaydin and Jarret Lozano, and Trey Fennessee.
She loved to shop, cook, read, watch the Dallas Cowboys, travel, work in her yard, and watch the flowers bloom in her garden. Some of her friends knew her as a real prankster, and she enjoyed sharing her famous Banana Bread. Sammye enjoyed camping with her new friends of Rock City Sams.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a graveside committal service at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Halbrook Cemetery in Conway County.
Family visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the funeral service.
