Sammie Dale Garrett age 78 of Sparkman, AR died Friday, September 30, 2016. He was born May 20, 1938 in Dallas County the son of Samuel and Lucille Key Garrett. He was a retired employee for Ray White Lumber Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparkman, He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lucille Key Garrett and a sister Glen Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife Johnette Wilkins Garrett, two sons, Allen (Brenda) Garrett of Sparkman and Randy (Shelia) Garrett of Camden, one daughter, Debbie (Matt) Greene of Ft. Worth, TX, five grandchildren, Nicholas Greene, Jessica Garrett Ross, Natalie Greene Taylor, Clay Garrett, and Sam Garrett, two great grandchildren, Kelyn Ross and Grant Garrett.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, October 4th at the First Baptist Church of Sparkman with Rev James Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the DeLamar Cemetery near Manning. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
