S. Wilson

S. Craig Wilson of Sherwood, age 51, entered eternal rest Saturday Jan 13, 2007. Craig was born June 14, 1955 at Benton, Arkansas to Arthur and Troyce Rucker Wilson.

Craig, a 1973 graduate of McClellan High School and the University of Arkansas in 1977, spent his years at the University as a Student Trainer for his beloved Razorbacks. While attending UA, he was proud to be a part of the 1976 Razorback Cotton Bowl Championship Team. Sports were Craig?s passion, and so fitting that his major was Radio and TV Communications. Upon graduation from the University he earned a position with KARK TV, Channel 4 where he was a Sports Reporter and Weekend Anchor. He was employed for 8 years with KARK doing what he loved to do most, living and loving all sports- especially football and soccer. He spent the latter years of his life as an avid supporter of the LR Futbol club.

After marrying the love of his life, Mary Hughey, and starting a family - Craig left the traveling life of television broadcasting to work for IBM. He spent the last 7 years working as a Computer Education Specialist for Complete Computing in Little Rock, where he truly loved the Company and his fellow Employees.

Craig delighted in work for his Heavenly Father as an active member of St. Luke Episcopal Church where he had served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, Acolyte Master and member of the Vestry. Those were appointed titles, but his love for people kept him busy in the ministry of love to all.

Craig is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Hughey Wilson; sons, Jim Wilson, a Junior and member of the UA Razorback Marching Band, Fayetteville, Matt Wilson, a freshman member of the University of Missouri, Rolla Soccer team, and daughter Molly Wilson, a 10th grader at North Little Rock High School; his loving parents, Art and Troyce Wilson of Little Rock; his sister, Kathi Wilson Hood and husband Ron of Dripping Springs TX; sister-in-Law Margaret H. Jones and husband Royce; nephew Ed Jones; nieces Mary-Margaret Jones Pratt, Trayce Hood, Sarah Hood, grand-nephew Landon Pratt; grand-niece Ava Jones; Uncle Melvin Wilson, Aunt Deanie Wilson and Aunt Erna Wilson Rae; and a host of special loving family and friends.

The Family wishes to thank the huge number of incredible friends, their outpouring of love and support, as Craig stated in his own words ?I have never felt so loved and so at peace in my entire life.? We too, have never felt so loved and blessed by you all.
