Ruth Stewart Lynch passed away on March 25, 2018. Ruth was born on July 12, 1925 in Mansfield, AR. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1947 and was a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron Sorority, an honors sorority. She taught home economics in Russellville, AR in 1947 and at Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia, AR in 1948. There she met and married Hillquit Lynch on August 18, 1949.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Hillquit Lynch; her parents, Reverend Allen D. and Laura Stewart; her sisters, Margaret Stewart, Virginia Cox, Martha Waddell; brother, Reverend George Stewart and daughter, Peggy Lynch Rice.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hopper of Hot Springs, AR; son, Stewart and wife Hilary Lynch of Birmingham, England. She was blessed with four granddaughters, Rachel Coney, Kyriana, Amiel and Acacia Lynch; one grandson, Aiden Lynch and two great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Lawson Coney.
She lived a long life, and was active in her church and with her family. Her love for God and people shined through her ready smile. Always a generous and giving person, she is loved by many.
The family would like the thank Seniors Comfort Assisted Living of Hot Springs, for the loving care she received while living there.
The family's Celebration of Life Service is pending to allow those both near and far to attend. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.
