Ruth Lowery

Ruth Amy Lowery, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was born May 18, 1927 in Monticello, Arkansas to Ralph and Edna Batterton Holt. She loved the LORD and she loved drama, teaching, singing and making people laugh. She served as a faithful member of Park Hill Baptist Church for over 45 years. She was active in her church choir, and served as a teacher/director in Sunday school. Ruth Lowery owned and operated the Broadway School of Real Estate in Little Rock for over 35 years.

She is survived by her children, Amy Heslip (Larry), David Lowery (Pamela), Mary Levenson (Marc), Mark Lowery (Cheryl) and Jeffrey Lowery; eight grandchildren, Stephen, Elisabeth, Benjamin, Sean, Daniel, Adam, Jeffrey Michael and Dustin; sixteen great-grandchildren; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph A. Holt Jr.; and sister, Rebecca Johnson (Doug).

Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, Singles' Ministry or Music Ministry, 201 East C. Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 on December 27th at Park Hill Baptist Church, and a memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00.
