Ruth Eldine Dycus

Friday, March 26, 2021, Ruth Eldine Dycus passed in her sleep and kicked the gates of Heaven wide open. We imagine as she fell to her knees in the presence of the King of Kings, she asked her beloved Lord and Savior, 'What took so long?

Ruth fought a difficult battle with dementia after having a stroke 2 1/2 years ago. She was ready to go home. If you had the privilege of knowing Ruth, you knew love.

Ruth was born to Carl Dycus and Dottie Legate Dycus on January 27, 1932 in Mayflower, Arkansas. She worked at Maybelline for several years before taking an early retirement to take care of her mom and dad.
Ruth is survived by her son, Anthony Dycus (Terry), granddaughters, Carrie Dycus and Brooke Ledford (Gerald), Great-grandchildren, Carley Gunn, Braxtyn McCuien, Nathan Ledford and Haylee Ledford, all of Mayflower.

Ruth is also survived by her brothers, Jimmy Dycus of Mayflower and Leroy Dycus (Gilda) of Roland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters in law, C.J. Dycus (Barbara) and Wilburn Dycus (Dorothy).

Ruth was a devoted member of the Mayflower United Pentecostal Church
