Ruth was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, joining congregations of the various communities in which she lived. Not only did she live her faith but also she passed her faith along to those she touched. Her greatest joy was in the family she raised, praying that her sons would be Christians who were faithful to God. Ruth's prayers were answered as all four sons, and their families, are committed Christians who are active in their churches with a faithful witness of Jesus Christ. She worked as a bookkeeper for Oaklawn Community High School in Oak Lawn Ill., the family business of Douville & Sons Heating, Air Conditioning and Fuel Oil in Deland Fla., and Lake Beresford Yacht Club in Deland Fla.
