Ruth Bakr

Ruth Marie (Zootman) Bakr with family by her side was called home on October 15, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 78.

Greeting her in heaven were her parents, W Max and Della Zootman as well as grandparents and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Left behind to miss her dearly is her husband of 57 years, Mamdouh; children, Nora Bakr (Timothy Conover), Shawn (LeAnn) Bakr; her grandchildren, Jacob Bialk, Kaela (Jace) Kramer, Mitchell Bialk, Ian Bakr, Elias Bakr, and Reece Bakr; one great grandchild, Adalynn Kramer; as well as her siblings; Peggy (Ted) Lewellen, Berma Johnson, and Nord (Christy Zootman); and many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed gardening and painting, she also had a love of cooking as well as spending time with her family.  She was also an active and dedicated member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church.

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 4:00 pm, at Highland Valley United Methodist Church, 15524 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR  72211.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ruth’s life.
