Russell Jackson

Russell L Jackson, 57, of Maumelle, passed away September 15, 2019 in Maumelle. He was born March, 30, 1962 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri to Garry Jackson and Tamah Risinger. Russell served honorably in the Army from 1980-1986. He worked in telecommunications in Panama and on ballistic missiles while stationed in Germany before returning to Fort Leavenworth.

Russell was discharged honorably and relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas where he married Maly Jackson. He worked for Bert Black Service Company for more than 15 years and was a member of the New Life Church Greater Little Rock.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Terry Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Maly Jackson; two children, Christina Jackson (24) of Seattle, Washington and Garrett Jackson (18) of Conway, Arkansas; brothers, Garry Jackson and David Jackson, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Tammy Stephens of Corpus Christi and Cynthia Marshall of Lesterville, Missouri; special friends, Mike and Jill Fitzpatrick and a host of other family and friends.

Russell adored his wife and loved his children dearly. He enjoyed playing guitar, which he did for over 40 years. Most of all, he loved the Lord. He was a blessing to the many lives he touched.

Friends and family will celebrate Russell's life at a service on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., at New Life Church Greater Little Rock in the Chapel, 8000 Crystal Hill Road, North Little Rock, with Pastor Tommy Hunt officiating. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make memorials to Little Rock Compassion Center, 4210 Asher Ave., Little Rock, AR 72204.
