Russell Craig Crevoiserat, 73, of Bigelow, Arkansas passed away on August 22, 2023, after a long illness.
Born on May 9, 1950, to Russell R. and Dorothy (Gallinagh) Crevoiserat in Rockville Center, New York, he graduated from East Islip High School in 1968.
Russell enlisted in the US Army in April 1970 and retired, after 20 years, in October 1990. During this time, he was a Senior Electronic Warfare/Intercept Systems Analyst and served as proponent NCO and staff assistant to the Chief of Military Intelligence. He was stationed in Fort Devens, MA, and various locations throughout Europe and the Pacific Rim.
After retiring from the military, Russell was a tax auditor for the State of New Hampshire and professor for Southern New Hampshire University teaching primarily accounting and taxation courses. Russell also dedicated time as the President of the Board of Directors, at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont.
He had a love for chickens from a young age. Russell joined the American Bantam Association in 1972. He served the ABA from 1981 through 2023 in various roles and donated countless hours to this cause. Russell was well-known for offering fiscal and organizational advice to any poultry club that was in need.
Since moving to Arkansas, Russell volunteered his time with the Heritage Poultry Conservancy at Moss Mountain Farm in Roland, Arkansas. This organization is dedicated to the preservation and support of all threatened breeds and strains of domestic poultry.
Russell is predeceased by his parents Russell R. and Dorothy (Gallinagh) Crevoiserat and sister Patricia Crevoiserat of Islip Terrace, NY.
Russell is survived by his wife, Dion of Bigelow, AR; brother Richard Crevoiserat and his wife Nancy of Oceanside, CA; daughters JoAnne Crevoiserat Coon of Concord, NH; Michelle Kozlowsky and her husband Joseph of Newton, MA; and son Michael Burke along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:30AM-12:30PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). Burial, with full Military Honors, will follow at 1:00PM at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland, North Little Rock).
