Ruby Watson

Ruby Jane Watson, 74, of Arkadelphia, died after a short illness Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock. She was born September 18, 1932 in Hope to the late John Alvie and Faye Marie McDonald Stark.

She was the manager and co-owner of Phillip's Drug Store in Arkadelphia; a very faithful, active member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church; and was active in the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, Sam L. Watson; a son, Sam Watson, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Jonesboro; two sisters, Shirley Huckabee of Texarkana, and Johnie Bryan and her husband Charles of Hope; two Grandchildren, Clark and Elizabeth Watson of Jonesboro; two nieces, Shari Bryan and Shannon Murphy; and numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be Monday, August 20th, 6-8 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 21st, 2:00 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel, Arkadelphia, with Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to the Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church, P.O.B. 503, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
