Ruby Faye McCauley Turner, 89, of Langley, went to be with her Lord and Savior, November 22, 2022. She passed away in her beloved home of 40 years on the banks of the Little Missouri River, which sat just down the creek from the old home place where she was born on October 28, 1933. The daughter of Doyle Woodard McCauley and Cleoria Magie Park McCauley.
On June 21, 1951 she married the love of her life, Luther Franklin Turner, who preceded her in death on October 9, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Linda Faye Simmons.
Ruby was a homemaker and eagerly welcomed friends and family into her home. Her favorite pastime was working to beautify her home and surroundings. She enjoyed spending her days sitting on her back deck with a cup of coffee in hand, watching the river roll by, with any loved ones who happened by, and her faithful little feline, Fluffy. In years past, she loved to travel and had many adventures with her family at favorite destinations out west.
Her life demonstrated her great devotion to God and her church, Mt. Joy Freewill Baptist, where she served faithfully until the end of her life.
Ruby is survived by her one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Benny Kelley of Langley; 5 grandchildren and their spouses Kris and Breannon Kelley, Jennifer Blankenship, Kevin and Alissa Kelley, Kaci and Pike Palmer, Nikki and John Shirley; 9 great grandchildren Landon, Kamry and Taylor Kelley, Maverick Blankenship, Jordan and Carlie Neel, Rachel and Roselynn Kelley, and Brayden Palmer; 2 step great grandchildren Jacob McCoy and Lori Shirley, 2 brothers Billy Joe and Ricky Dean McCauley; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Mt. Joy Freewill Baptist Church in Daisy with Bro. Raymond Dees officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Joy Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Family Funeral Home in Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be Kris Kelley, Kevin Kelley, Pike Palmer, Landon Kelley, Maverick Blankenship, Jordan Neel, and Brayden Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations may be made to the Mt. Joy Cemetery Fund, ℅ Carolyn Monroe, 3791 Hwy. 70W, Kirby, Arkansas 71950.
