Ruby Tipton Townsend, born December 21, 1928 in Clear Branch, Tennessee, received her heavenly home on September 13, 2014. A native of Erwin, Tennessee, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Tipton and Polly Higgins Tipton, and her husband, Aldace Edward Townsend.
Mrs. Townsend leaves two sisters, Willie Emery of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Velma Eshleman of Kathleen, Georgia, and four children, Karon Lawson (Rick), Calvin Townsend (Pam), Roderick Townsend, Alice Roark (Jesse), eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Her sweet and loving spirit will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Family graveside service will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.
